Therapist Course

Please know and understand.

The 2021, prerequisites and training requirements for I-ACT Certification will change.

Information posted on this page will be updated soon.

16 Hour Course

This two-day I-ACT Course is for the experienced and currently practicing Colon Hydrotherapist.  If you have previous training but are not I-ACT Certified, especially if you're practicing in Colorado, this course is for you! In addition to becoming I-ACT Certified, our Trainings are an invaluable addition to your previous training and existing skills, either on the Closed or Open System.

The I-ACT 16 Hour Course is considered adequate for you and can substitute for the 100 hours in classroom training, after the student has completed all prerequisites and requirements for Level 1.  Please read this link for the I-ACT Foundation Level 1 requirements for certification.

Please understand this Course is not for the therapist to learn colon hydrotherapy and this Course cannot be completed online.  This Course is for the therapist to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the device they choose to use, and the opportunity to work with a I-ACT Certified Instructor to complete the remaining requirements for I-ACT Certification.

Before your 16 Hour Course is scheduled and as required by I-ACT the therapist must:

Provide proof of completing High School by either a diploma, GED, Wonderlic Ability-to-Benefit test, or other document which is greater;

Present documentation of completing a college level Anatomy and Physiology course from an accredited post secondary school of at least 3 Credit Hours (30 Classroom Hours);

Must have a current basic CPR card;

The therapist must become a full member of I-ACT;

The therapist must be able to document she has worked for the previous one year and has completed a minimum of 100 colon hydrotherapy sessions in those previous twelve months.  The one year experience must be verified with documentation acceptable by a court of law (i.e... W-2, 1099, Paycheck stubs, IRS documentation, etc.).

When the above prerequisites have been completed and this information can be verified by the instructor, then the Course date will be scheduled.

The therapist must operate a FDA registered device, preferably Class 2, either a closed or open system, to be practicing Colonic Irrigation, what we refer to as Colon Hydrotherapy, as outlined by the FDA in the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21.

During this Course the therapist will facilitate at least three (3) colon hydrotherapy sessions (with one on the Instructor); and demonstrate the sanitation procedure of your device; and know the manufacturer's contraindications, etc.

The therapist must demonstrate their knowledge of the digestive tract by providing a 15 minute oral presentation on basic anatomy and physiology.  I can help you prepare for this for an additional charge.

The instructor and therapist will review together and the therapist will understand: The Code of Federal Regulation Title 21, the I-ACT Standard Operating Procedures, I-ACT Policy Statements and advertising guidelines; the therapist will sign the I-ACT Oath of Integrity; the therapist will complete for I-ACT the Instructor’s Critique Form (your feedback to I-ACT about your experience with this course which the instructor will never see and has no influence on your certification status other than it must be completed for I-ACT). The therapist will take the Level 1 written test (if necessary, I have an accurate and legitimate study guide which I have prepared for this test for an additional fee); and the therapist will pay the I-ACT test fee of $75.00 to them.

On the day of this course please come prepared with a copy of your Disclosure Statement, client Intake Form (and all other documents your clients will complete and sign), and a photo of your device, a photo of the session room and bathroom, and a photo of the reception area.

This Course is two consecutive eight-hours days in the classroom which includes a one hour lunch break. Upon satisfactory completion of the Course requirements you will receive a certificate of completion from this school and I will send your transcript to I-ACT for your certification completion.

If you would like to discuss your participation in this Course or any of the other 21 Learning Classes we offer, or if have any questions about colon hydrotherapy, options of what to do with your clients while using the Closed or Open System, physiology and the body, difficult clients and what to do, your business, or any other topic, please contact us.  We prefer the telephone.

We are here to help you succeed.  Voted Colon Hydrotherapy Instructor of The Year 2016-17.

Thank you,
